   it took me 5 days to potty train my little girl she was just over 1 but its different for each child, my daughter use to ask for the toilet. try when you are in leaving his nappy off and a potty in the room dont push him too hard give lots of praise when he uses toilet or potty dont make a fuss when he widdles the carpet. my son is only 1 just now and im just getting him familiar with the potty by doing what you have sitting him on ith every morning before putting him in the bath. the other thing i done with my daughter was put pants on her not pull ups to let her know that if she dint use potty or toilet she would get wet. when your son shows indication that he is uncomfortable wearing soiled or soaked nappies that is usually a sign he is ready to be trained

   what worked for me, was i would let my son go(or maybe i should say, he went everytime I went to the bathroom) go to the bathroom & I would tell him that mommy is peepee. I purchased a training pot for him & it was in the bathroom also. So when I would go to the bathroom, I would tell him to sit on his pot. He initially just sat on the pot with his clothes on & pretend. I would just talk him through what I did & he would restate it to me. So I finally one day just asked him if he had to pee pee & he said yes, I sat him on his potty & he did it. I had a reward for him which was stickers that I could put on the back of his potty. At that time he was into Barney(so maybe get stickers of your son's favorite character) and everytime he goes, allow him to pick a sticker & let him put it on the back. Then give him a big hug & tell him you are very proud of him & then allow him to wash his hands. Kids at this age need reenforcement of what they do & it needs to be a good thing. It has worked perfectly. He know sits on the big toilet & stands when he needs to pee pee. If there is a male figure in his life, let him go to the bathroom with them so that he can get the concept down of how he should pee pee.

   i have introduced a potty to my daughter already and she is only a year. i sit her on it when she hasn't got a nappy on. that way she doesn't find it a daunting propsect but with praise a fun game. once she is walking i will encourage her to sit on it more often. but my boy and my girl all watched how the toilet was used and learnt that way. ask you son regularly if he wants to go or sit him on it about every hour. always sit him on it when he has just done one.

   try after he has a drink(leave it bout half hour ) then put him on.for meal times try after an hour.if he is still going in his nappy then (hopefully its solid )empty contents into the potty.when you want to put him in pants thro the night thn go up to his room bout 12-1 am armed wiv potty gently wake him and put him on( he wont b happy wiv it at first but he will adjust v quickly)give him lots of cuddles if he will let you and tell him he is a good boy,you love him etc.w started wiv our son b4 his 3rd birthday and now goes thro the night wiv out wetting him self some times he has done it himself and others he hasnt but it is usaully the case he has been by 1am and if he hasnt then we still do put him on it

   This is tough. But here is what happened to work for me with my 3rd son, who I might add is the most stubborn child I know! lol
   Try to make a time where you dont have to go ANYWHERE for a few days. Let him run around the house in just underwear, and a shirt. Put him on the toilet every 15-30 minutes the first day. Make it fun, when you go to the toilet… so he likes going. When he finally does go pee or other on the toilet… Praise the hell out of him! Saying what a great job he did, pick him up & hug him, tell him how proud of him you are, and then call a family member that means alot to him, and brag about it, or let him tell them!! This will encourage him, and make him feel so special!
   The only down side of this is you might have to wipe up pee off things. So be sure wherever he sits you have something under him at all times, as not to ruin your furniture and other things. Just remember to stay HOME all day for a good 2-4 days, if possible.
   I did this with my son, and by day 2, he didnt have a single accident, and used the toilet. Getting his business done, took another day, but it was the best thing that worked for him.

   You need patience. Encourage your child, praise him. Baby needs to be vocal. I started trainning my son when he was about 2. I purchased him ome cool big kid undergarments with cartoon caracters but for the most prt I let him run around in the nude. I let him see me use the bathroom so he'll be comfortable and kno what going on. I also got picture books with stries about going to the potty.

   i started trying to potty train my 20 month old daughter today,i think she is ready because she lets me know when she needs her nappy changed.iv put the potty in living room and she goes over and sits on it.every time i need to change her nappy im leaving it off for a while she saying pee pee in potty.she has peed on the floor twice and potty zero but i expect that.when she pees on the floor i show her the potty and pay again pee pee in potty.im sure she will understand soon.just takes time.

   they usually say leave it a few weeks before trying again if hes not doing anything, my friend told me that using the potty in front of them helps get them used it.
